How to receive a fax online

This is a very simple process. The faxes are simply tied in with your email. Online fax service companies like GoFaxgo.com offers an unlimited monthly fax service for a low, fixed rate. It has not fully reached the point where online faxes are totally free, like sending emails are. But if you have a computer and an internet connection, you can learn how to fax online very quickly. First, you should research different online fax companies, and see what their services and rates are. When you find one that suits your needs and your budget, simply sign up with them. You fill out an online form, and include your name, address, and email. You can pay them either by credit card. Some online fax services even accept Paypal, once you establish an account with them.
Good thing about online faxing is that there’s no annoying telephone ringing associated with it. You simply check your emails every day and see, if anybody, sent you a fax. The message on the fax will be very much the same as that from a traditional fax machine, except it will be much clearer to read. And there also won’t be any paper to have to remember loading, since online faxing is paper-free. Sending a fax online is just as easy. Simply use your online fax account to send faxes to anyone who has an online fax account. With some online providers, for an additional fee, you can even send faxes to old fashioned fax machines, and it will ring just the way it used to be.
Online faxing is a new technology that can only get better over time. The low rates charged are much better than having to pay the phone company a high surcharge each time you sent a fax. With email faxing, you can send low cost faxes all over the world in a split of second to anyone who has an email.

How Internet Fax to Email Works

When you sign up for Internet fax to email service, you have two options:

  1. We issue you with a new Local internet fax number or
  2. We issue you with a personal 800 Toll-free internet fax number.
(There is no additional cost for using a toll-free or local number)
You can use the issued number directly or by forwarding your existing fax number to it.

Receiving Faxes
When faxes are sent to your fax to email number our systems receive the fax and then converted it to an industry standard PDF file (or TIFF graphic file if you prefer). TIFFs are universally supported by Windows PCs and Macs and will automatically open when you click on them. See FAQs for more information about TIFFs and PDFs.
The TIFF or PDF file is then attached to an email and sent to you at the email address(es) you have assigned. When you receive the email you can view the fax onscreen and then you have the option to either print, save, forward or delete the email - the choice is yours.

Sending Faxes
With your email fax service account you can send a fax from your desktop in two different ways provided you have an internet connection:

  • Email: You email the document(s) & images to our server which will then convert the documents into a faxable format and send it to the fax number you specified in the email message. See how to send a fax by email
  • Via Web Site: You can follow the step-by-step directions on our website.
We support most popular office and image file formats. See FAQs
